As our Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in taking ownership of our product suite, primarily focused on ads bidding and user segmentation. We’re not merely seeking a proficient engineer – we need an innovator who can breathe new life into our platform, enhance its performance, and modernize our systems.


  • Product Champion: Take the reins of our product development, owning key aspects like ads bidding and user segmentation.
  • Cross-Functional Ally: Collaborate closely with backend/frontend developers, Data Engineers, SREs, and Product Owners to nurture our platform, enhance its performance, and modernize certain services.
  • Code Quality Crusader: Maintain the sustainability and quality of our code, ensuring our standards remain high and our systems robust.
  • Development Advocate: Employ best practices that boost software quality, encourage good test coverage, facilitate peer code review, support continuous integration, and promote rapid deployment.
  • Architectural Maestro: Make judicious choices regarding languages and software architectures to enhance system performance.
  • Technical Debt Guardian: Manage our code base and technical debt, ensuring our systems can withstand daily scaling challenges.
  • Scale Warrior: Uphold the technical and business scale of our system, while actively working to reduce technical debt.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Languages: You have a proven experience with at least two programming languages and some experience developing with Node.js and/or Go.
    • Code Consistency: You have a strong focus on testability and consistency in code, ensuring maintainability and ease of understanding.
    • Fluency in both French and English
