Front-End Web Designer / Developer (UI/UX)

Stingray Direct is a direct-to-consumer, large-scale, performance-based e-commerce nutritional supplement/health and wellness company. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Web Designer to join our team. This role reports directly to the Creative Marketing Manager and will support all Omni-channel brand initiatives. As a Senior-level professional, you will play a key role in creating exceptional user experiences by designing and developing visually appealing and intuitive websites. Front-End Web Designer / Developer (UI/UX) Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX/UI design process, from concept development to wireframing, prototyping, and final design implementation (a plus), ensuring a seamless, intuitive user experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into user-centric design solutions.
• Create visually stunning and engaging responsive website designs, incorporating best practices in usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.
• Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to communicate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
• Collaborate with developers to implement designs, providing guidance and support throughout the development process to ensure design integrity and quality.
• Design and develop better mobile-first user experiences while measuring the effect on those through A/B tests.
• Perform thorough testing of web designs and functionalities across different browsers, platforms, and devices.
• Identify and resolve any issues or bugs that may arise during testing and debugging phases.
• Assist in testing and optimizing eCommerce site & landing pages.
• Assist in creating, updating, and uploading web server files.
• Assist in creating and updating email templates and campaigns as needed.
• Proficiency in web structure and FTP uploading procedures.
• Provide supplementary graphic design support to other designers as needed.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and website development, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

• Document files created during the design process, including but not limited to: assets, design files, photography – to facilitate version control and ensure easy access for future reference.

Requirements

Front-End Web Designer / Developer (UI/UX) Requirements:

• Must be located in California
• BA in Graphic Design, Web Design, Interactive Design, HCI, or related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
• HCI Knowledge and/or Experience is a plus.
• 5-7 Years experience as a UX/UI Designer, Website/Graphic Designer, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web design projects.
• Experience with Shopify eCommerce platform required. (others a plus)
• Proficiency in UX/UI design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, Miro, or similar software, along with a solid understanding of design principles and best practices.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML and CSS with experience in responsive design and front-end development frameworks.
• Knowledge or experience with JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap, and other front-end technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Email Marketing Platforms such as Klaviyo, MailChimp, or Iterable is a plus.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, and best practices in accessibility and responsive design.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying user feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, analyze data, and make informed design decisions based on user insights and business goals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
