Job Description

We are seeking an account manager who has a successful history of building customer relationships and is ready to roll their sleeves up to help manage our growing list of customer accounts across verticals. Our account managers act as the main point of contact for their clients with the goal of building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with each account, always striving to find the right products and/or cadence of communications that meet their individual needs. This person would work with multiple departments including Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product and Marketing to achieve our client goals from onboarding to ongoing account maintenance, product delivery, and expansion strategies. This person would have their ears to the ground, identifying industry trends to support revenue and retention goals, and the ability to analyze customer data to enhance their experience with our technology.

To succeed in this position, candidates should have extremely strong communications and problem-solving skills. Our team works remotely, so we need someone who is a self-starter, resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized. Below are some of the responsibilities you’ll be owning and driving under the direction of the Head of Accounts.

Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sales & Operations team to onboard new accounts as part of an established onboarding process. May require travel within the U.S. to perform in-person installations where needed.
  • Maintain the client relationship upon closing the deal by Sales, continuing to communicate with clients to ensure a clear understanding of their needs and overall account health.
  • Oversee and execute (client) onsite operational tasks, including installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that client needs are understood and satisfied, advocating for every client with a focus on improving the customer experience.
  • Own the renewal process for assigned accounts.
  • Assist with analyzing client data to provide proactive insights.
  • Maintain current customer records about account updates and deliverables, contact management, account renewals, KPI tracking and progress toward goals, and general due diligence to keep customer information current and accurate.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within accounts to continue to grow our bottom line.
  • Work directly with the Marketing & Sales teams to coordinate client testimonials and case studies.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of company products and industry trends to communicate with customers for prospecting, marketing, and product development.
  • Help design, execute, and improve processes to manage and transition clients from Sales to Account Management.
  • Help ensure all operational documentation and procedures are updated and easily accessible by all team members.
  • Work with the Head of Accounts and executive team to strategize quarterly account goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years account management and/or operational experience, preferably in tech
  • Experience handling multiple accounts
  • Work independently with support and assistance as needed from the company
  • Experience with CRM systems, project management platforms, and/or team workspaces
  • Proven track record of customer relationship building
  • Data analysis skills preferred
  • Must have positive attitude, be organized, adaptable, have a high attention to detail and exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful with proven ability to work effectively across teams
  • Perform device installations with some physical labor required
  • Experience working in a remote environment productively
  • Comfortable with technology and deploying technical solutions
  • Able to travel to visit accounts when needed (less than 10% of the time)


$75k – $95k base salary plus bonus plan
