Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking full‑time AV Engineer/Programmer candidates to join our team in support of the George C Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. This position will provide advanced audiovisual engineering, system maintenance, integration, and lifecycle management support. Successful candidates will possess strong technical proficiency with hands‑on Crestron experience and a strong background in AV system maintenance, documentation, and secure integration within IT environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

AV System Configuration & Optimization

  • Configure and maintain AV systems across plenary halls, conference rooms, executive spaces, and seminar rooms.
  • Ensure seamless integration of AV systems within existing IT infrastructure.
  • Perform system checks, configuration adjustments, and performance optimization.

Maintenance & Lifecycle Management

  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance in accordance with OEM specifications.
  • Perform software updates, firmware upgrades, and hardware inspections.
  • Develop and maintain lifecycle replacement plans for AV systems and components.
  • Coordinate procurement and replacement of non‑warranty parts with program stakeholders.

Troubleshooting & Emergency Support

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware, networking, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide rapid response to system failures and emergency outages.
  • Maintain a 24/7 reachable contact method for emergency support as required.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain detailed inventory records of all AV equipment.
  • Track maintenance schedules and equipment status.
  • Coordinate with IT Asset Manager and COR for equipment accountability and replacement planning.

Documentation & Security Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation including schematics, signal flow diagrams, configuration guides, and modification logs.
  • Implement and document AV system security hardening measures in compliance with DoD standards.
  • Ensure all documentation reflect current system state and is audit‑ready.

IT & Network Coordination

  • Participate in IT planning discussions to ensure alignment of AV and network configurations.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Minimum 1 year hands‑on experience with Crestron systems (maintenance, troubleshooting, updating).
  • Minimum 2 years of AV system maintenance experience, including diagnosing hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Experience integrating AV systems into IT/networked environments.
  • Experience developing or maintaining AV documentation (schematics, configuration guides, signal flow diagrams).

YOUR EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Dante Certification Level 1 (required within 90 days of hire).
