Quest Search and Selection is hiring a Senior Category Manager- Electrical Appliances to lead supplier engagement and deliver branded products to customers. This is a commercial, hands on rollthat allows you to shape category direction and contribute to the rapid growth of an innovative e-commerce business.
The company is a dynamic retail e-commerce platform with operations across the UK and Europe, currently scaling its Non-food category team. With advanced technology enabling same-day or next-day delivery, the business is known for its world-class supply chain, digital innovation, and start-up-driven culture.
Role and Responsibilities of this Senior Category Manager- Electrical Appliances role:
- Lead the branded buying for electrical appliances in the home. This could include TV and entertainment, portable electricals, white goods and gaming products.
- Being responsible for the category sales for and driving better margins.
- Drive commercial growth by partnering with high-calibre brands and suppliers.
- Analyse performance data to identify sourcing gaps and improve supplier and category performance.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to maintain availability and prevent shortages.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, pricing frameworks, and promotional plans.
- Cultivate and maintain strong supplier relationships while onboarding new partners That are exciting to local market
- Build consumer-focused category assortments that align with usage trends and demand.
- Collaborate with global supply chain teams to ensure alignment and timely support.
- Use sales and procurement insights to spot trends, streamline operations, and increase gross profit.
Ideal Profile for this Senior Category Manager- Electrical Appliances role:
- Salary of between €70,000 to €100,000.
- 5-8+ years of proven experience in Category Management and Buying – this must be in electrical category within the home.
- You must have experience within retail or e-commerce.
- Strong background in buying/ purchasing in either MDA or SDA another electrical appliances.
- Deep understanding of customer behaviour, market dynamics, and experience working with top-tier brands, suppliers, and distributors.
- Ideally operating @ a C1 level or above in German
- A well-connected supplier network within the Consumer Electronics and Appliances sector.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and solve problems methodically.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive attitude, and a growth-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative, result-focused, and eager to make a strategic impact within a fast-growing business.
