Job Description

The Senior Manager (or Associate Director/Director) of Sales & Business Development will drive sales across Her Campus Media’s Gen Z marketing products to large-scale global and national brands, portfolios, and media agencies. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Achieve individual and team sales and activity goals set forth by SVP of Sales, prorated over year one
  • Day-to-day, source, develop and close individual sales large-scale marketing programs with prospect list including digital media, content, social, influencer, experiential, on-campus, and research
  • Collaborate with cross-department teams including integrated marketing, account management, branded content, influencer marketing, sales planning, and more to build strong marketing proposals, and eventually support running exceptional marketing campaigns once deals are won
  • Nurture relationships with existing clients to generate returning business manage relationships strategically for maximum impact
  • Responsibly maintain and oversee individual sales operations including but not limited to goal distribution, account list organization, achievement of activity + pipeline goals, training programs, productive 1:1s, monthly T&E expenses, internal process optimization, performance reviews, etc.
  • Be a subject matter expert on digital media and influencer marketing, and continue to deepen your product knowledge over time
  • Negotiate pricing and partnership structures

  • 2+ years of media sales experience at a publisher or media company with existing client relationships or 3+ years of account management experience at a publisher or media planning experience at a media agency (5+ years of media sales experience for Associate Director/Director)
  • Proficiency in media industry terms, KPIs, and strategies
  • Knowledge of sales enablement tools such as boostr, Salesforce, Comscore, Media Radar, among others
  • Exceptional time-management skills and relationship-building both internally with cross-department team members and externally with clients
  • Outstanding communication, presenting, negotiating, and relationship building skills with the ability to articulate and pitch clearly and confidently
  • Deep understanding of how to meet client marketing objectives through 360-degree campaign recommendations
  • Confidence to think creatively from prospecting to pitching
  • Passionate about women’s advancement and Gen Z marketing
Additional Information

Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 base salary plus additional commission and bonus potential. 

Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.
